Boxes made in Estonia, one model at a time
Tesseract designs cargo boxes around the rack of a single machine instead of making one box for every rack.
Who we are
Tesseract boxes are designed and made by TSSTBOX OÜ in Estonia. The team behind the brand includes athletes and professional riders. When they looked for storage for their own machines, the market didn’t have much to offer, and that is how Tesseract started.
The company runs the whole cycle itself, from the first concept to production at its own rotomoulding facilities, and sells the boxes in Estonia, Latvia, the United States and Canada.
How a box is made for a model
Every box is developed for specific machines, around the shape of the rack, the factory grab handles and the passenger backrest.
- The machine is 3D-scanned to capture its cargo areas.
- Designers sketch the box and build its 3D model.
- A 1:6 prototype is 3D-printed, then a full-size prototype is machined from engineering plastic on a CNC machine.
- A mould is made and the production line is set up.
- The box is rotomoulded from high-density, impact-resistant polyethylene, with double walls, a rubber-sealed lid and metal locks with keys.
- Every design goes through quality control and a set of tests before it goes on sale.
Most boxes mount in the rack’s factory holes with quick-release fasteners, tightened by hand in 30 seconds to a minute. A few are bolted or screwed on from a mounting kit.
